Belly dancing is a fun and expressive dance form that originated in the Middle East. It is a great way to get in shape, improve flexibility, and build confidence. In a our adult dance fitness belly dancing class, you will learn a variety of moves such as shimmies, undulations, and isolations. Our classes focus on posture, isolations, shimmies, and accents that are a true expression of belly dance. You will also learn how to use your arms, hands, and hips to create beautiful and fluid movements that belly dancing is known for. It is a great way to connect with your body and express yourself through movement. Check out our belly dance class today!

Belly Dance Class What to Wear: Choose a pair of pants or leggings that are stretchy and allow you to move your legs and hips freely (leggings, yoga pants, or even a long skirt). Avoid wearing jeans or other restrictive clothing. Wear a comfortable top that allows you to move your arms and shoulders freely. A fitted t-shirt or tank top is a good option. Many belly dancers wear a hip scarf to accentuate their movements and add some flair to their outfit. If you don’t have a hip scarf, don’t worry – it’s not essential! And we will have some to provide. You can dance barefoot or wear dance shoes such as ballet slippers or jazz shoes. Avoid wearing shoes with a lot of grip, as they can make it difficult to turn and pivot. Keep jewelry to a minimum, as it can get in the way and be distracting. A simple pair of earrings or a bracelet is fine. Remember, the most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

Clogging Classes

Our adult clogging class is a fun and energetic way to learn to clog. We offer all levels from beginner to advanced. The class usually starts with a basic warm-up routine, followed by technique training and learning of dances. The number of dances learned per year varies. There is a practice list and videos available for upcoming classes so you are sure to stay on track and practice what is needed when it’s convenient for you. This team loves to perform, but it is totally optional – we have several dancers that just want to dance without performing – and we are totally ok with that! The class is a great way to get some exercise and burn some calories while having fun and learning new skills. Find out how you can join a class today!

Clogging Classes What to Wear: Comfortable clothes that allow ease of movement – leggings, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops. For shoes, if you have a pair of clogging shoes, great! If not, that’s ok, find a pair of leather sole shoes or tap shoes if you have them. You are looking for a shoe that is slippery on the floor with no heels. If needed you can dance in sneakers just know that they may stick a little bit to the floor. This will work as a temporary solution until you totally fall in love with clogging – which won’t take long!

Clogging Class Drop Ins: Drop ins are welcome if you have clog danced before. If you are new to clogging, be sure to check with us on when the next true beginner class will start up. We will have new classes approximately every 6 months.
